Our
Cottage Collection
The Point East Cottage Collection offers five
classic turn-of-the-century shingled cottages
showcasing the finest in New England design,
materials and sensibility. Features include
screened porches, waterfront balconies, crackling
fireplaces and first floor master bedroom
suites. Sizes range from modest two bedroom
capes to spacious four bedroom colonials.
Cottage Design
The Point East cottage designs echo the patina
of the past. From flooring widths, to trim
weights, kitchen cabinets to custom built-ins,
every detail of these homes has been thoughtfully
considered. Walls of windows for light. Open
floor plans for flexibility. Full basements,
extra closets and optional garages offer abundant
storage.
Exterior Finish
Point East cottages feature traditional cedar
shingles with crisp white trim. Classically
styled six–over-one windows and architectural
shingles affirm the vintage village look.
Marine mahogany porch decking and handrails
insure low maintenance.
Interior Finishes
Each cottage will offer three distinct interior
styles; the Classic,
the Cottage and the Custom.
The Classic Interior's refined chair rails,
classic trim and traditional maple floors
complement contemporary and traditional decorating.
The Cottage Interior features wainscoting,
built-in window seats and painted kitchens.
The Custom Interior is understated elegance
with coffered ceilings, paneling and a custom
cherry Kennebec
Company kitchen.
Energy Efficiency
Our cottages, though nostalgic in design,
employ the latest building techniques emphasizing
energy efficiency. Energy Star rated windows,
gas hot water baseboard system, air conditioning
and appliances maximize performance and energy
conservation.
Carefree Living
The cottages are part of the Maritime
Village Master Association. Upon purchase
you will own the lot and the building. You
become a member of the Master Association
that is responsible for year round landscaping
and grounds maintenance. No more shoveling
snow, raking leaves or mowing the lawn. In
addition to being responsible for the entire
peninsula’s grounds, signage, roads
and public spaces, the Association also maintains
the architectural standards so essential for
preserving the collective asset value.
Our on site property management will oversee
your property from watering plants to checking
furnaces in your absence to turning up the
heat and stocking the fridge in anticipation
of your return We will also provide rental
assistance for those who wish to share their
homes periodically with others. |
